This course is aimed at students who have some experience in drawing and painting and would like to build on this in tandem with working towards developing their own ideas and projects with the support of a tutor. 

The course will touch on all aspects of drawing and painting through varied and structured classes in the first and second term, though to researching and developing personal bodies of work in the third. Working out on location in the local surroundings and in the studio we will look at strengthening the foundations of our drawing of painting, exploring and mixing materials, simple print-making, understanding and using colour and researching and developing ideas.

Regular lectures, discussions and looking at the work of other artists will all feature as a key part of developing our analytical and practical skills, as well as finding inspiration. 

This all-day course will be a varied and exciting way to expand your skills and practice.
